About Peitho Communications

and founder Jessica Schwartz Hahn

The Peitho brand was inspired by the art of persuasionand its power to motivate people to realize change.

I’m Jessica Schwartz Hahn, founder of Peitho Communications, and this is the ethos I’ve brought to my work for more than 35 years. Whatever your organizational goals, persuading your audiences to believe, buy, support, share, vote, donate, or do something can be one of your biggest challenges, and the key to your success.

Before launching Peitho in 2005, I honed my audience-centric approach at agencies in my hometown Philadelphia, NYC, and DC, establishing a track record of success leading strategy and tactics for clients small and large including A&E, Coca-Cola, ESPN, Ford Motor Co. & UAW, Hearst Corp., Time Warner Cable, and U.S. ED and HHS departments.

Peitho’s driving interest is in advancing initiatives and policies that improve the lives of children and families, and the systems in which they learn and live. This dedication stems from my work, between agency stints, developing 85+ industry partnerships for the School District of Philadelphia. Most of Peitho’s clients are advocacy associations, businesses, foundations, nonprofits, and think tanks focused on civic society, education, and youth services and public policies.

In 2016 I joined NWEA in-house, taking a hiatus from Peitho to build and lead a communications practice to improve perceptions of the global education nonprofit. My public relations and public affairs work spearheaded a transformation of NWEA’s public image and became an integrated and instrumental discipline of the organization, benefiting its advocacy, development, marketing, and sales efforts.

Today, Peitho creates and implements custom-designed, multi-discipline MarCom-PA-PR solutions that reach, influence, persuade, and engage a wide range of external and internal audiences and stakeholders, including funders, media, policymakers, and business and community experts, influencers, and leaders.

I bring winning ideas to the fore and support organizational goals through communications, and I love doing it.

Jessica’s ability to quickly assess complex situations and determine a great course of action rose to the top in crisis situations.
